For years, I’ve relied on the renowned task management app, Things 3, to keep track of my tasks. With the thought that Things 4 is likely soon, I knew that I wouldn’t want to make the upgrade investment, whether purchase or subscription. Therefore, I figured now is a good time to move to an alternative task manager.

This week, I completed the transition to GoodTask. One of the primary factors that influenced my switch to GoodTask was its seamless integration with the native Reminders app on iOS and macOS devices. GoodTask utilizes the existing Reminders infrastructure, which enables effortless syncing across all Apple devices. This synchronization ensures that I can access my task list wherever I go, whether on my iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

While Things 3 offered a visually appealing interface and user-friendly experience, it lacked the flexibility and customization options that GoodTask provides. With GoodTask, I can tailor my task management system to fit my unique workflow and preferences. The app allows for the creation of multiple lists, subtasks, and tags, enabling me to categorize and prioritize tasks according to different projects, subjects, or deadlines. This flexibility has allowed me to setup a task manager that fits my unique requirements.

GoodTask offers an array of powerful features that have significantly enhanced my productivity. One of the standout features is the ability to create and save smart filters. These filters allow me to view specific tasks based on various criteria such as due dates, tags, priorities, and locations. This feature ensures that I can focus on the most important tasks at any moment while effectively managing my time and energy. Moreover, GoodTask’s advanced natural language input capability enables me to quickly add tasks with minimal effort, further streamlining my workflow.

The transition from Things 3 to GoodTask has revolutionized my task management approach and significantly improved my productivity. The enhanced integration and syncing capabilities, flexibility and customization options, powerful features and smart filters, as well as collaboration and sharing capabilities, have all contributed to a more efficient and organized workflow. GoodTask’s seamless integration with the native Reminders app provides a comprehensive and friendly experience that has changed the way I manage my tasks. I’m confident that GoodTask with Reminders will continue to be an invaluable tool in maximizing my productivity.
