Embracing Telemedicine: My shift from primary care visits to Teledoc for non-serious conditions
My last visit to my primary care physician turned into a fucking disaster. A seemingly simple prescription refill turned into a time-consuming ordeal all because the refill needed my doctor’s approval. The process of getting that approval was seriously frustrating. That’s when I decided to start taking advantage of telemedicine.
From now on, for non-urgent health issues, I’ll be using Teledoc which my health insurance provider covers. Telemedicine services like Teledoc are super convenient in several situations. If I’ve got a minor health issue like a cold or the flu or need a quick consultation, it’s a time-saver. It’s also handy when just need a prescription refill. The flexibility of getting care without leaving home makes Telemedicine a real game changer.
