Dropbox sync with Ulysses app
I get pissed writing in Ulysses when iCloud sync doesn’t work. Today I started a couple of new stories on my iPhone. A while later I went to my desk to work on them on my MacBook. Guess what? They hadn’t synced yet.
I don’t know if iCloud sync issues are a Ulysses problem or an iCloud problem? Ulysses blames it on iCloud. I tend to think it’s a Ulysses problem because it’s the only app that I use that has an iCloud sync problem. I use Bear and Drafts that also use iCloud sync without issue.
All that said, when this happens I usually dump Ulysses for iA Writer. But I always come back to Ulysses. This time instead of dumping it I moved all my sheets to Dropbox where I never have a sync problem.
I know I’m not the only one that experiences this problem. I see people complaining about it on Twitter and in Ulysses app reviews. If you’re one of those people, do as I did and move your sheets to Dropbox and your sync issues will be over.
