Don’t give up on your blog just yet

This post is for those of you who are new to blogging. In fact, you may be someone who’s thinking about quitting. I want to encourage you to stick with it.

We start a blog, post regularly for a while, and then either find a niche or lose heart and quit blogging. Blogging is hard work. For most of us, it takes time to build an audience. Articles, while they may not be getting many views right away, can pick up steam and build up more views in a few weeks, months, and even years later.

I’ve been writing on Medium since 2016. I’ve never had a post go viral. But, I do have over 67,000 lifetime views with a 73% read ratio. And several of my posts have gotten thousands of views over time. And of course, some of them have also gotten zero views.

This blog is nothing more than me expressing myself about things that I care about. That’s all it is!

So stick with it and don’t give up.
