Add Swipe Gestures to Drafts App on Mac

One of my frustrations with the Drafts app on Mac is the limited way to toggle the display of the Draft list and Action list. You’re stuck using either keyboard shortcuts or a pointing device. On the iPad and iPhone, you can use swipe gestures, and I really wanted the same functionality on my Mac.

I already use BetterTouchTool for a swipe gesture three fingers swipe up on the trackpad to hide the active window. Today, it struck me: why not create custom gestures to toggle the Draft list and Action list in Drafts? After a bit of experimenting, I managed to set up exactly that.

  • A two-finger swipe right toggles the Draft list.
  • A two-finger swipe left toggles the Action list.

Now, using Drafts on my Mac feels much more intuitive, just like on my iPad and iPhone!
